ABOUT THE POSE:

The mountain is confident, strong, grounding, sturdy, and unwavering. Even though the pose may look simple, there is still action in Mountain Pose. It utilizes all of the elements of earth, fire, water, air, and ether. As well, the palm tree can grow to towering heights and still stand unwavering in a storm.

BODY BENEFITS:

Many of us are used to sitting hunched over on a daily basis, often unaware that we are even doing it. This pose can be used to improve our posture by lengthening the spine, and creating a grounded foundation by strengthening the thighs, knees, and ankles.
